Terms of Use

Last updated: 12 August 2026

These terms govern your use of the Drinking.Wine app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is about wine and is intended for adults who are of legal drinking age in their location. By using it you confirm you meet that requirement.

2. Your account

Access is currently invite-only. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Let us know promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the notes, photos, and other content you create. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and the tastings you take part in (including, for AI features you choose to use, sending the relevant content to our processing providers). You’re responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to share it.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service unlawfully, don’t upload content that infringes others’ rights or is abusive, and don’t attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users’ data.

5. Catalogue & accuracy

The wine catalogue and any AI-generated or reference information are provided for convenience and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Tasting notes reflect personal opinion. Nothing in the Service is professional, medical, or health advice.

6. Drink responsibly

The Service does not sell alcohol. It’s a journal and social tool. Please enjoy wine responsibly and in line with the laws where you are.

7. Availability & changes

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the Service. During beta, expect occasional bugs and changes.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete account). We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the Service or its users.

9. Disclaimers & liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Apple App Store

If you use our iOS app, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.

11. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction]. Questions: support@drinking.wine.
